Finding your parents in Starfield is a lot easier said than done after the first meeting. Once you meet them the first time, you’ll no longer have a marker for their location, which makes things much more difficult. Unfortunately, Starfield doesn’t really have a proper map system, so if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll get lost.

Before you go to your parents, make sure you have the Kids Stuff trait. Also, it’s a great idea to make sure you get a nice photo of them too because they were made in your image. Below we have where to find your parents in Starfield.

How to find your parents in Starfield

First, go to New Atlantis and head to a subway. The Residential District is your target. You’ll notice a sign directing you to various buildings once you reach the Residential District in New Atlantis. Look for arrows that say Pioneer Tower on them and follow them.

They’ll guide you to your parents’ apartment. Inside the tower, you’ll find an elevator. Get on and press the button. You will likely have the game crash the first time on Xbox Series S and we had happen. The Xbox Series X tends to make this stuff easier.

Once the loading screen ends, head out the door in front of you and head to the open door down the corridor or hallway. It’s generally the first door you see. Do not head out the back way because you’ll need to go into a circle just to get to the same location. If you do not have the Kid’s Stuff trait, the elevators won’t take you anywhere and you won’t see your parents.

The kid stuff trait pretty much brings your parents to life, and One Small Step mission is where you add your parents in. Maybe Bethesda wanted to stop making the player an orphan in their games.

You can visit them but they won’t always be home, and sometimes they’ll find you instead. It’s a good idea to go to the lodge and get messages from them if it’s been a while. It’s also smart to check on them every so often so you can keep getting gifts.

Your parents won’t be a big part of the game but they will be there enough to feel integral to your character. You can also meet them for the first time after you meet Constellation in New Atlantis. There’s no real perks besides getting to sleep in your first room, but you have a spaceship and the Lodge for that.

You also cannot meet your parent’s parents. This is just one generation up, so not grandparents. You don’t get to see your old neighborhood unless you have the Neon Street Rat trait, in which case you can see your old town on Neon.
