It was pretty predictable, wasn’t it? The release of CS2 has caused madness among the gaming community, and so many players flocked to the game that many of the region’s servers were actually overloaded. As it turns out, it’s not just the servers going mad because of CS2, some CS2 case prices have skyrocketed since the game’s release on Steam.

This is likely due to the number of players wanting a fresh set of skins for the new game ahead, and we don’t blame them. However, the release of CS2 causes case prices to spike.

CS2 case prices spike after the game releases

some of the popular CS2 cases have spiked in price thanks to the game’s release release on Steam just a short time ago. We have, however, been through this before. When CS2 was accidentally leaked, the skins market went insane and prices spiked across the board.

They have since calmed down a lot, but are on the rise again thanks to the release of CS2 and all of it’s game modes. If you’re an avid collector of cases you might want to consider letting go of a few cases.

Some of the popular cases that have spiked include:

Dreams and Nightmares case

The Dreams and Nightmare case has risen to around £1.21 as of the time of writing, and it could still increase yet.

Prisma 2 case

The Prisma 2 case is a classic and it has peaked at around £0.78 as of the time of writing, and, like the rest of them, could still increase in price.

Will the price of CS2 cases increase further?

That sort of depends on you guys, will you be buying the cases at these prices? The more cases you buy at inflated prices shows sellers that there is a demand where the cases are worth this inflated price.

So, yes, the case prices could be here to stay for a while, but maybe not as long as when it happened last time when CS2 was leaked. That instance caused an entire skin market inflation, this, at least for now, is looking like it’s isolated just to cases.
