pink gaming keyboard

Finding the best Pink gaming keyboard may seem a silly topic for an entire article, but trust us, it’s worthwhile. 20+ years ago everything PC-related was beige and 10+ years ago everything came in black. in the past 5 years, we’ve seen explosive growth in RGB lighting, allowing for gamers to choose from 16.8m colors to personalize their fans, cases, GPUs, etc. It’s almost ubiquitous in gaming peripherals too. However, lighting is only half the battle, and to fully commit to an aesthetic, we need more variance in the colors of the actual physical aspects of the product.

Luckily, peripheral companies have begun to understand this, and have been getting more and more creative with their designs and colorways. Gaming keyboards, in particular, have experienced growth here with the ever-increasing popularity of aftermarket keycaps and other such upgrades. This has resulted in functionally limitless potential. So join us, friends, as we explore the best pink gaming keyboards in 2024.

How we choose

Whether we’re reviewing new monitors or the best GPU on the market, choosing the right hardware can always be a tricky task.

It requires hours of product research, performance benchmarking, and reviewing user feedback to get anywhere close to a definitive conclusion on what to recommend.

If you aren’t tech-savvy and struggle to put the time aside to go through the above requirements, you may end up purchasing a keyboard that simply isn’t right for you.

Fear not though, friends! Here at WePC, we like to take the stress of research away and transform the whole process into an easy-to-follow, complete buyers guide. That’s right, our team of PC enthusiasts has done all the hard work for you!

How we test

Testing the products we recommend is a huge part of the overall selection process in our best of guides. It’s a way to make sure what we recommend is, without a doubt, the best option in its specific category.

To be sure a product is “the best,” it must show excellent performance in our tests, and display better qualities and features than the competition it faces.

Most of the products we recommend here at WePC have gone through a strict testing process that involves everything from the price and performance, to build quality, efficiency, and aesthetics. Each product is pushed to the limit to see how it performs in numerous different scenarios before being placed in one of our guides.

Doing this enables us to provide you with the most accurate review of how the product performs and, ultimately, whether it’s worth your hard-earned cash.

How we choose the best pink gaming keyboard

When it comes to picking the best pink gaming keyboard, there is much to consider. As with our best gaming keyboard page, what we are looking for (aside from pink) is varying sizes, a choice of switches, differing layouts, and if some have any cool additional features, such as hot-swappable switches, we’ll consider that too.

Keyboard size

We are all familiar with the parochial full-size keyboard as it’s what we grew up using. These days, however, there are many different form factors available, ranging from full-size, all the way down to ridiculously minimal 40% where you get little more than the letter keys. 60% is currently a hot topic for its space-saving abilities and aesthetic appeal and TKL boards are also very popular. We’ve put together a handy infographic for those of you unfamiliar with the different keyboard sizes below.

Key switches

Another key thing to consider when picking the best pink keyboard is the key switches. There are a huge amount of different switches out there, but the three main variants are clicky, tactile, and linear.

  • Clicky. This is what comes to mind when most people think of a mechanical keyboard. Clicky switches are often referred to as ‘blues’ and have a tactile bump partway through the keystroke and an accompanying audible click.
  • Tactile. These switches have no sound but retain the aforementioned tactile feedback. Commonly referred to as ‘browns’ they happen the be the switch type of choice for the author of this article.
  • Linear. Also referred to as ‘speed’ and ‘reds’ these switches feature neither a sound nor a tactile bump. These are generally agreed upon to be the best switch type for gaming.

Layout

The keyboard layout is commonly confused with keyboard size as mentioned above. Keyboard layout actually refers to the region-specific spacing, shape, and relative positioning of the keys. The choice you’ll probably have to make is ANSI vs ISO as these are the most common layout. Unfortunately for the Europeans out there, ISO keyboards are far less common than ANSI but most big brands generally try to provide both variants for their keyboards. If you aren’t sure which one you’re used to, we have made yet another infographic for your convenience and it’s available below. The quickest way of checking which layout you’re using is to look at the ‘enter’ key which is highlighted in purple below.

Hotswappability

Hotswappability refers to being able to remove the key switches without having to de-solder them from the PCB. Mechanical keyboard enthusiasts favor this as it allows for the user to swap switches out at a moment’s notice. This increases the lifespan of the keyboard and provides far higher levels of customizability. Here at WePC, we consider hotswappability to be a huge plus for any given keyboard as it provides a far more open product.

Best in Class
01
The best pink gaming keyboard
Razer BlackWidow V3 – Quartz
razerquartz blackwidow
Size 100% (full-size)
Switch Razer Green (yellow optional)
Backlight RGB
Wrist Rest Included
PROS
  • Nice switches
  • Full size layout, ideal for productivity
  • included wrist rest
  • Cable routing options
CONS
  • Expensive
  • Not hotswappable

Of course, the pink coloring isn’t the only reason we included the Blackwidow V3 in this list. We also enjoy the clicky green switches (Razer Yellows, a linear switch type is also available). Additionally, it ships with Doubleshot keycaps and the switch housings are transparent allowing for really vivid RGB, this is further enhanced by the frameless design, making it one of the most well-illuminated gaming keyboards on the market these days.

An oft-forgotten feature is present on the Blackwidow too: media controls. These comprise a tactile volume roller and play/pause button on the upper left of the keyboard. This means instant control of audio, which is a huge gaming bonus as tabbing out to pause or adjust the volume is super annoying and can often spell death for you, which results in furious chastisement from your teammates. We also like that it comes with a wrist rest. Most people don’t use wrist rests, but the fact that it comes with it at no extra cost is a nice move by the Singaporean peripheral legend.

02
The second-best pink gaming keyboard
i-rocks K71M
irocks
Size 100% (full-size)
Switch Linear (hotswappable)
Backlight RGB
keycaps PBT
PROS
  • The pinkest you can get
  • Media controls
  • Gateron switches
CONS
  • Expensive for what it is

Of course, the keyboard is as pink as they come, but the RGB takes it to the next level. The keyboard’s perimeter houses an RGB lightbar that covers the entire distance around the board, with an extra broad section on the top. Switching the lighting to pink will make this board borderline unusable, but the most pink, the pinkest, in fact.

But it doesn’t stop there, dear reader. The i-rocks K71M ships with your choice of Gateron switches, a brand venerated by mechanical keyboard enthusiasts. Other enthusiast-grade aspects include the pre-installed sound-absorbing panel and a premium companion software that can be used to control lighting, record macros, create keybinds, and more.

The best budget pink keyboard
Redragon K617 Fizz

Size 60%
Switch Redragon red (hotswappable)
Backlight RGB
Keycaps ABS
PROS
  • Hotswappable
  • Compact form factor
  • PBT keycaps
CONS
  • Linear switches are the only available switch as standard

As mentioned in the main body of this page, 60% keyboards are all the rage these days, especially for gamers. Luckily enough Redragon has managed to cover both 60% and budget picks in this list. List efficiency aside, we also had to include it for its hotswappabillity, comprehensive RGB, and convenient accompanying software package.

Other positive features aside from the adorable color scheme and compact size are the linear switches. These are ideal for FPS games as they typically feature the lightest actuation force and quickest debounce time. This makes for lightning-fast response times and improved player performance.

Hotswappability is the biggest thing here. Key switches are the easiest and cheapest way to upgrade the feel of your keyboard and give the typing and gaming experience a boost. If you dislike linear switches, then simply swap them out for your preferred type of switch and get going.
