The first season of Diablo 4 is coming, and many want to know if the season 1 mechanics will stay after the season ends. July is the Season of the Malignant, launching a new Season Journey, quests, new bosses, dungeons, Battle Pass, and rewards.

With new Malignant powers and Malignant Tunnels, Cormond, the former priest, will have you working hard to quill the new threat running rampant in the Sanctuary. Of course, to help you out, there will be new unique items and Legendary Aspects. But first, follow this guide to find out if the Diablo 4 season 1 mechanics will stay after the season ends.

Can you use Diablo 4 Season 1 mechanics after the season ends?

The Season of the Malignant took over the lives of many after it started. However, with all these plague-filled new mechanics, you might wonder if you can still access them after the season ends. Unfortunately, Season-specific mechanics such as the Malignant Hearts will not be accessible once season 1 ends. As mentioned in a Blog article on the official Blizzard Entertainment website.

However, once the season has ended, your character’s progress can be transferred to the Eternal Realm. So, all the items you have collected and your season stash can be transferred. Thankfully, the Diablo 4 seasons will last three months, giving players enough time to enjoy the season and collect the Seasonal Blessings or Cosmetics.

You must create a new seasonal character on the Seasonal Realm to participate in the season. Additionally, you must complete the campaign on the Eternal or Seasonal Realm. However, your mount will be available immediately, and all Altars of Lilith will be unlocked with its Renown.

These seasons are an innovative method to create gameplay mechanics only accessible for a limited time. As a result, it will allow players and developers to develop insane new character builds within each season.
