A new form of Lilith’s corruption has spread throughout the Sanctuary. As the new season journey begins, you will face new gameplay mechanics, cosmetics, new legendaries, and even more rewards.

Malignant enemies can be found far and wide. However, they are more prevalent in Malignant Tunnels. With a new threat looming over the Sanctuary, your new Malignant powers will be needed to assist Cormond in quilling the corruption. Follow this guide to learn where you will start your journey in Diablo 4, season 1.

Where will you start in Diablo 4 Season 1?

July is the Season of the Malignant, and in this season, players will have to create a new seasonal character and start their journey at Level 1. You will start your journey in Kyovashad in Diablo 4, Season 1. However, you must first complete the main campaign in the Eternal Realm.

As mentioned in the Diablo 4 Developer Update livestream, you will immediately have access to the season’s beginning. Here you will meet a new character NPC former priest of the Cathedral of Light Cormond. Together, you will investigate the mysterious malady in a new questline.

Cormond will train you to capture the Malignant Hearts from partly corrupted enemies. In addition, you will learn how to perform the Cage of Binding. You will acquire this item from the seasonal questline to defeat the fully corrupted enemies.

During the first season, you will encounter various Malignant monsters; they may be human or other creatures. This season, there will be 32 Malignant Hearts across four categories in which you can face new unique bosses. Additionally, when you collect the Caged Hearts, you can use them to create new infested sockets which can work as gems.
