Does Zelda Tears of the Kingdom have a DLC? The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to release quite soon and many are curious about what to expect. While The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild offered an expansion pass, no news has been released on if The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will do the same.
Will There Be DLC For The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
It does not seem like there will be DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Normally if a game plans on having DLC, there would be an expansion pass that players can purchase alongside their pre-order of the game. However, there is no expansion pass available or included with any editions of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
While Nintendo could choose to add DLC to the game later down the line, this is not a common thing that happens with most Nintendo games. Even looking at The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there was an expansion pass available to pre-order alongside the pre-order for the base game if fans wanted.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom doesn’t seem like it will need an expansion pass to add content to the game with all the new content that players will have to explore. There are plenty of new abilities that will allow players to push the sandbox world to its limits. To the point where DLC content can easily be ignored.
However, depending on how the story for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom goes, getting a short DLC to expand upon the ending could be nice. Even getting a short story to see what happened with the Master Sword between games could be interesting.

Why is there no DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
Unfortunately, there is not a DLC for Tears of The Kingdom so there is definitely no expansion pass coming at launch. The reason behind this could be due to the ample of content coming to the game.
Will Tears of The Kingdom get a DLC?
In the future, maybe. This isn’t common though amongst Nintendo to add further DLCs to games especially as big as Zelda.
