However, many love to run around with the Paladin and go aggro, using a DPS build to slay their foes

Regardless of which version you want to play, we will cover the basics in this Lost Ark Paladin guide. Here we will show you the Paladin builds you can run, along with the typical skills, engravings and other useful bits and pieces. That way, you can get a general feel of what it is like playing a Paladin at the end game, and really find out if any of this Lost Ark Paladin builds are right for you.

Lost Ark Paladin Guide

The first thing you need to know about any Lost Ark Paladin guide is that it needs to reference the community perception. There is a massive perception that the Paladin is a support class. Its attack power is not great and needs heavy investment for it to feel good. However, they still don’t deal as much damage as your other primary DPS characters. Therefore, many people do believe the support build is generally better. Think Boomkin from Classic WoW – if you know, you know.

However, if you head over to the Korean rankings for Lost Ark, then you will find some players are running largely blue builds, aka sword builds. These are backed up with DPS Paladin class engravings, and they seem to hold their own in their playstyle. It may mean you have to put in extra work to be good. If that challenge is fun, then godspeed.

Regardless of which version of the Paladin you want to play. We will show you the relevant Lost ark Paladin builds, with the skills you need to make it work.

Lost Ark Paladin Support Build, Skills and Tripods

Lost Ark Plaadin Support Build

The Paladin is a class that offers some fantastic support gameplay. The support friendly part of your Lost Ark Paladin class identity is called Holy Aura. The Holy Aura sends out buffs in a 12-meter radius around the player, with those inside getting a 10% damage buff.

You can combo this damage buff with the Light Shock’s, Light Vestige tripod, as the Paladin can issue a 20% party-wide attack buff when synced properly. Also, Support Paladins tend to take a skill called Holy Protection, which creates a barrier that heals for 11% of the player’s max health. There is tripod that also heals for another 8% when it expires, ramping it for 19% max HP. Lastly, there is a skill called Wrath of God, with its third tripod granting 15% of the Paladin’s attack power to party members in a 24-meter radius for 8 seconds. It is things like this that you want to keep in mind when playing a Lost Ark Support Paladin Build

Please Note: Some of the KR /RU translations to the western client may be wrong. We have also shortened some of the tripod names for peace of access. We have done our best to make this as useful as possible.

Lost Ark Paladin DPS Build, Skills and Tripods

Lost Ark Paladin DPS Build

Now onto the Lost Ark Paladin DPS build. There seems to be a selection of core skills, such as Wrath of God, Heavenly Blessing, Charge, Executioner’s Sword and Holy Sword that ll DPS builds take. However, the other three skills tend to be down to player preference. At least one skill has a tripod with the Vestige debuff. Then, the other remaining skills are whatever blue skills you like the most. Others opt for Light Stabbing, while others like Execution of Justice. Below is one of the core examples of the Lost Ark Paladin DPS build you may like at the end game.

Keep in mind you will opt for the Sacred Executioner part of your identity gauge. Some skills like the Executioner of Justice skill have tripods that deal more damage when using this identity. Not to mention the identity gauge also grants extra range and damage on skills, so you can really make skills like that your big hitters. This is important when you start considering your skill runes and engravings later on as you approach the end game.

Lost Ark Paladin Engravings

Lost Ark Paladin Engravings

Like every Lost Ark Class, the Paladin has two distinct class engravings. These are Judge and Blessing. The Judge is the DPS focused on, which enhances your damage skills by 25% and it also increases your gauge acquisition significantly. It means you can get into your Sacred Executioner window much easier.

If you opt for the Lost Ark Paladin Support build, then you want the Blessing class engraving. The reason why is because it reduces your damage taken by 20% and you heal periodically. It means you can put yourself in more danger to support your allies when they are in tricky spots, such as with the Holy Protection.

If you got for the usual damage build, then you want the typical DPS engravings. These are always Cursed Doll, Grudge and Adrenaline. These increase your damage output but mean you have reduced healing and can take more damage. Since you take skills that grant damage reduction and a shield anyway. Not to mention Paladins have much higher defence, so you don’t have to worry about this too much.

In addition, since you are rather dashy, thanks to your tripods, you can take Raid Leader. This grants damage based on your movement. It helps to buff those skills which you charge forward with, like Charge.

If you are more interested in the support style, then you want Awakening and Specialist. These two engravings boost your ability to use Awakenings, while Specialist increases the effectiveness of your healing and shielding. You can also opt for Heavy Armour since you may feel that you need to run into danger and help your allies. The extra defense makes it much safer on top of your damage reduction and shielding already.

Lost Ark Paladin Awakening Skills

Every class in Lost Ark has two Awakening skills, and the Paladin is no different. The Paladin’s two Awakening skills are Alithanes’ Judgement and Light. Judgement is a skill that launches a giant barrier on your allies based on a significant percentage of your max health. The other is the Light version, a damage skill that can later explode and for more damage with a very high stagger.

Since one of your possible engraving builds can reduce your Awakening skills, the  Judgement skill is your bread and butter. Think of all the supporting you can do with that.

Lost Ark Paladin Gems

Now for the gems part of the Lost Ark Paladin build. If you’re going for a damage playstyle, then you need to ramp up damage gems into your favorite damage skills, especially skills like Holy Sword and Executioner’s Sword. You will want damage skills on your skills that are enhanced with your damage identity skill, to really ramp it up.

Meanwhile, you want cooldown reduction gems on our Vestige skills you can keep that damage buff uptime up as often as possible.

Asa for your support gems, you ideally want cooldown reduction gems. You can then apply these cooldown reduction gems to any skill that applies a crucial party buff, damage reduction, or party healing skill. Since you’re going to spam these kills more often, you want MP reduction gems you don’t go OOM (out of mana) in fights.

This concludes or Lost Ark Paladin guide. Hopefully, you can now decide which of the two builds you want to use. Just remember, there is a perception amongst established players that the Paladin is a support class. However, since most players are new in the western game, you can perhaps smash those expectations with some incredible numbers.
