As soon as Starfield releases, each one will give you full access to the massive universe the game has to offer. From solar systems to explore, to NPCs to romance, there’s plenty to find. But which edition of the game offers the most?

What’s in the Constellation and Premium Editions of Starfield?
For starters, both Starfield editions contain the base game like the Starfield Standard Edition, although you probably expected that. From there, the editions have some differences. Let’s break down the price and what’s in each.
Premium Edition of Starfield
Here’s what the Starfield Premium Edition of the game has:
- Up to five days early access
- The Shattered Space Story Expansion
- The Constellation skin pack
- Access to digital extras, including the original soundtrack and the art book
All of these are available in the Digital Premium Edition upgrade. Purchasing the Physical Premium Edition at select retailers will also score you a Constellation Patch and a Steelbook Display Case along with the previously mentioned goodies. The Digital Premium comes in at $99.99 USD, and the Physical Premium upgrade is an additional $34.99 USD on top of the standard $69.99 USD price.
Constellation Edition of Starfield
Starfield also has the Constellation Edition or the Collector’s Edition of the game. In addition to all the perks of the Physical Premium Edition of the game, you’ll also receive:
- A Starfield Chronomark Watch
- Starfield Watch Case
With these added, the total price comes to a whopping $299.99 USD.
Which Starfield Edition should you get?
While it’s really up to you to decide which edition of the game you want, we’d recommend going with the Digital Premium Edition. You get all the bonus in-game content for a price that doesn’t break the bank. If you’ve preordered or are on Game Pass, you also get the bonus of the Old Mars Skin Pack, Laser Cutter, and the Deep Mining Helmet and Pack.
However, don’t let that stop you from getting the Constellation Edition if that’s what you desire. If you’re a huge fan of branded swag, the Constellation Edition of Starfield has tons of that for you to collect, including every single digital reward mentioned above.
