Yes, Starfield does have romance. Starfield has four NPCs that you can commit yourself to throughout the main story as you explore the planets in the Settled Systems and beyond.

Bethesda Game Studios also confirmed there would be more to the romance in Starfield such as performing activities with jetpacks on.

What NPCs can you romance in Starfield?

Though you may be excited to go on a planetary adventure exploring outer space, there’s no doubt that it can get a little lonely out there. So, if you’re wondering whether you’ll have to spend some nights alone, don’t be because Starfield does have four NPC companions you can date and romance! All four of your potential romantic interests in Starfield are fellow members of Constellation.

These crew members are the following romanceable NPCs:

Unfortunately, there are also plenty of NPCs that you cannot romance in Starfield like Matteo, Vlad, Walter, and Noel cannot be romanced. Don’t worry, you can’t romance the Adoring Fan or the robot Vasco either.

The romance system in Starfield isn’t extremely complex but it will take you some time to understand each NPC’s likes and dislikes. These aren’t complex relationships and instead mostly require you to be kind and respectful to your romantic partner.

Can you romance multiple NPCs in Starfield?

The number of companions you can romance in Starfield is limited to one. You can only have one active relationship at a time in-game, meaning you will need to end one before starting another. This is the same as previous Bethesda games where you could only be involved with one NPC at a time.
