The latest title from Bethesda, Starfield, has an entire universe to explore for players, but that doesn’t mean expansions are out of the question. Fans are always eager for more content to enjoy the expansive world Bethesda game Studios has created, and they will not be disappointed.
Once you’ve gotten all your companions and played around with the console commands, you don’t have to worry about getting bored. DLC and expansions are what you can look forward to. Odds are, Starfield could see multiple expansions. After all, Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim both received multiple DLCs.

What Starfield DLC is there?
Starfield currently has one confirmed story expansion coming, titled Shattered Space. The Shattered Space DLC was first confirmed during the Starfield Direct showcase in June, and more is confirmed to be on its way. Bethesda Softworks will be working on more DLC that will enhance the exploration. Further announcements will most likely come later this year or early next year.
While we don’t know the title of any of the future expansions, we do know that the Starfield Shattered Space expansion is just the first story expansion coming. So, players can expect more quests and missions to play in the future.
When is the Starfield DLC coming?
We don’t have an official release date for Shattered Space or any other DLC at this time, but we can assume it will come a little bit after the launch of the game this September. We unfortunately don’t know how many expansions will be coming, either. We’ll update this article once more information is known.
The first Starfield DLC might be all that we know of right now, but there is sure to be more news coming soon.
When can I purchase Starfield DLC?
You can purchase the Shattered Space DLC now, and if you’ve ordered any of these editions:
- Starfield Digital Premium Edition
- Starfield Constellation Edition AKA Collector’s Edition
- Starfield Preorder Edition
The Shattered Space DLC is already included. There will be more storylines for the RPG coming in the future, however, you will likely have to purchase them separately. If you bought the standard edition of the game for either platform, you will need to purchase the Shattered Space DLC separately.
There are plenty of planets to explore, artifacts to find, and combat to enjoy in Bethesda Game Studio’s latest title, Starfield, and DLC and expansions are only going to enhance your experience as you traverse the Settled Systems and discover the mysteries of the universe.
