In Starfield, you will meet plenty of characters when visiting new systems. While most of these characters will want to kill you, some will just want to have a conversation. The Mysterious Captain happens to be one of them. But who is the Mysterious Captain in Starfield? Let’s find out.
Who is Starfield’s Mysterious Captain?
The Mysterious Captain is a Starborn and one of the best traders in the game, but you won’t encounter her much during your first playthrough. You only get to meet her more often in New Game Plus.
Where to find her
Starfield allows you to go from system to system, during which you’ll encounter a lot of ships. In most cases, your encounter with random ships will turn into a battle. However, there is one particular ship that will want to talk to you and not become hostile. Upon interacting with the ship, you’ll notice that it belongs to someone called ‘Mysterious Captain.’
The Mysterious Captain will engage in a conversation, something which you might find strange at first. She will further surprise you by claiming how she knows about your journey of finding the Artifacts. After telling you to be careful out there in the world, the Mysterious Captain will disappear.
Now, this is the only time you will encounter her in the regular game. However, after you start NG+, you will get more chances to meet her. In New Game Plus, while no one else won’t remember you, the Mysterious Captain will still recognize you when you meet her for the second time. But this time, you’ll get to know more about her.
The Mysterious Captain in Starfield will claim that she is also a Starborn, just like you. However, she has given up on finding the Artifacts and has instead decided to open up a shop. In short, she has become a trader and now wants to live peacefully in the galaxy. However, the true identity of the Mysterious Captain will still not be revealed.
But she isn’t just a regular Starborn trader, as the kind of items she has in her shop are rare to find. You can choose from several legendary items, including rare weapons, and it will be wise to grab whatever you can, considering you won’t meet her much. Make sure you have enough Credits, though.
