Starfield is the kind of game that lets you customize everything. Furthermore, it also features a wide range of weapons for you to choose from, and most of them look badass. Right after getting the best gaming PC for Starfield and jumping into the game, you might be looking for ways to customize your weapons. To help you out, we’re going to talk about how to get weapon skins in Starfield.

How can I get skins in Starfield?

At the moment, there is only one way to get weapon skins in Starfield. Well, there were technically two methods, as the first one involved pre-ordering the game. Those who pre-ordered Starfield received the Old Mars skins pack for the Cutter. The pack is also available for active Game Pass members. But if you missed out on the pre-order bonus, there is still a chance for you to get a skin.

The only way to get a skin in Starfield is by purchasing the Premium Edition of the game, which is also known as Constellation Edition. That’s right, if you want to get your hands on the Constellation Skin for your Equinox, Constellation Helmet, and Constellation Spacesuit, you’ll need to spend $99.99 on the Premium Version to get the Constellation Skin pack.

How to equip skins in Starfield

Equipping a skin in Starfield is much easier than getting one. All you need to do is go to the appropriate workbench, like the Weapon Workbench or Spacesuit Workbench. These can be found at different spots on the map, but you must go to the right type of workbench. Next, choose the weapon or equipment you have the skin for and change it from there.

Other than the method mentioned above, there is currently no way to get skins in Starfield. Developer Bethesda made Starfield a game where you can customize a lot of stuff, such as ships, as per your requirements, but it seems they currently don’t want players to change the appearance of their weapons or equipment by buying skins using Credits or finding them as loot.

While only a few skins are currently available in the game, we can expect the developers to add more of them in the future. They might be planning to add new weapon skins through future updates, so we should keep our hopes high. But for now, you must stick to the default skin of your weapon. Or, you can get Starfield Premium Edition or become a Game Pass user to get different skins.
