How to craft with the Adamantine Forge in Baldur’s Gate 3
One of the many reasons players should traverse the Underdark is the Adamantine Forge. To use the Adamantine Forge, you must insert a Mould into the Mould Chamber and defeat the Grym boss. Once defeated, you will receive your items from the Adamantine Forge.
You can follow the steps below on how to use the Adamantine Forge in Baldur’s Gate 3:
- Go to the Mould Chamber and insert a Mould in the mold box.
- Now, interact with the Crucible and insert a piece of Mithral Ore. You will need one Mithral Ore per item forged.
- Next, go to the Forge Lever and pull it down.
- The Adamantine Forge will descend and turn the Lava Valve once at the bottom.
- However, once you turn the Valve, the protector of the Forge Grym boss will fight you.
- To finish the fight quickly, lure Grym to the hammer.
- Within each turn, pull the control lever down and use the hammer to weaken him.
- However, you must repeat this action a few times before defeating him.
- Once the battle is complete, you can collect your new weapon or armor from the Mould Chamber.
You can find these Moulds in various areas around the ancient Forge, so ensure to pick those up before heading to the Forge. There are six types of Mould to be found:
- Scimitar Mould
- Splint Mould
- Longsword Mould
- Mace Mould
- Shield Mould
- Scale Mail Mould
Where to find the Adamantine Forge in Baldur’s Gate 3
To find the Forge, you must navigate the Underdark to reach the south of the Grymforge. You’ll need to use Misty Step at the top of the stairs and jump between the platforms. You will then find the Ancient Forge waypoint on a pillar, and you can use this to bring your companions to the Forge.
