How to find the missing Caravan Strongbox in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Caravan Strongbox is an item you will find during the Find the Missing Shipment quest in Baldur’s Gate 3. During the mission, Head south to The Risen Road to find the missing Caravan Strongbox (X:29 Y:608). However, at the top of Risen Road, you will find a blood-ridden path infested with Gnolls. Walking up the trail, you’ll find more Gnolls, hyenas, a cave, and trapped survivors of the Caravan. Within the cave, you will find the Caravan Strongbox containing an Iron Flask, Gold, and Harold Crossbow.
When facing the Gnolls, you will meet a Gnoll Warlord called Flind. Using your Tadpole’s psionic power, you can make Flind fight the hyenas for you. There are two ways to enter the cave with different outcomes; if you use The Waukeen’s Rest route, you will fight the Gnolls. If you enter the cave from the west side, the trapped survivors will fight the Gnolls.
If you have chosen to fight Flind, a man named Rugan and Olly, one of the Zhent employees, will ask you to accompany him to Waukeen’s Rest to deliver the Caravan Strongbox to the Zhentarim Hideout after the battle. Also, make sure to use the passcode little serpent, long shadow to enter the hideout. You can pick the lock on the caravan chest and find an interesting item trapping a Spectator; this is actually a booby trap.
You can choose to open the bottle and release the Level 5 creature, immediately beginning a boss fight, or you can leave it safely in the bottle. Releasing this creature will not award you any loot or coin and will be detrimental when meeting the leader of the Zhent agents, Zarys, in the Underdark.
