How many companions are there in Hogwarts Legacy?

Since Hogwarts is divided into four houses, your character will have four Companions, one from each house. And depending on which house you initially choose, you’ll interact with that house’s Companion first.

They’ll travel alongside you on your journey, have their own fully fleshed-out quests, and even teach you unique spells and abilities. You can then improve these with talents. However, it all depends upon how you play it out, as you can choose to strengthen your bond with these characters through some tough decisions in the game.

Sebastian Sallow – Slytherin

Sebastian Sallow is your Companion from Slytherin and in no way resembles the spoiled Malfoy. Interestingly, this guy’s initials start with “S,” like Severus Snape and Salazar Slytherin — the man himself. Anyway, Sebastian is a charming dude who also happens to be quite the troublemaker.

But, above all that, Sebastian Sallow is determined to cure her sister of a mysterious curse, even if that means embracing the Dark Arts, which he thinks might be a probable cure. Additionally, pursuing his quest line will give you access to the Unforgivable Curses.

Natsai Onai – Gryffindor

Natsai is the wise, quick-witted Gryffindor driven by a strong sense of justice, likely due to her father dying to bandits. She hails from Africa, where she initially attended Uagadou before transferring to Hogwarts with her mother, the new divination professor at Hogwarts. That said, Natsai is an Animagus who excels at self-transfiguration but not so much at using wands.

Poppy Sweeting – Hufflepuff

Like every other Hufflepuff, Poppy is a compassionate student. However, interaction with others is not entirely her strong suit, but her love and profound knowledge of Magical Beasts are second to none. So, if you need any info regarding some beasts, then you know where to look. Moreover, you can also expect some quests with her where you’ll have to fend off poachers from magical beasts.

Amit Thakkar — Ravenclaw

Players were initially doubtful regarding the Ravenclaw Companion since he wasn’t present at the State Of Play trailer. However, after accessing the game through early access privilege, we now know that Amit Thakkar is your official Companion from the House of Wisdom.

Amit’s a well-read student who is fond of astronomy, and you’ll always find him stargazing with his trusty telescope, pondering over the wisdom of the stars. Moreover, he’s a selfless lad who’ll go to any lengths when called upon. And players can likely expect to help him with his first memoir for his quest.

Will there be new companions in Hogwarts Legacy?

Although there are now just 4 companions in Hogwarts Legacy, appropriately belonging to each one of the Hogwarts Houses, what about the prospect of new companions to work with? Well, we don’t expect any news of DLC to be appearing so quickly after release, but we see this as a future opportunity to introduce more companions to Hogwarts Legacy.

It would be nice to see a set of 4 new companions in future to help build the lore of Hogwarts. Or perhaps some less developed characters gaining a little more spotlight with additional quests. Either way, that’s all we can say on the matter as of now.
