Madden 24 has reintroduced the X Factor abilities from the last few entries. Whether in Franchise mode, head-to-head, or Superstar, X Factors will come into play if any players have them. They’re not incredibly common, since they are reserved for the best of the best.

If your created player or an existing NFL superstar, such as the cover athlete from the Buffalo Bills Josh Allen, has them, they need to be activated. They can be used on either offense or defense, and each one has its own set of specifications that need to be met before it turns on and grants the player the new ability. Here’s how to activate each one.

How do I turn on my X Factor in Madden 24?

Turning on an X-Factor in Madden NFL 24 requires a unique set of tasks to be completed. For example, to activate the Bazooka ability from Patrick Mahomes, you need to complete multiple 30+ yard passes. Once it’s active, though, it doesn’t last forever. It is deactivated once you take multiple sacks.

Here are the rest of the abilities that can be activated and how you can lose them.

Superstar abilities, such as Acrobat, Set Feet Lead, Pass Lead Elite, Edge Protector, Short Out Elite, Pick Artist, Juke Box, Lurker, Gunslinger, Slot-O-Matic, and Deep Out Elite are different. They are equipped to a player, like Von Miller, and are always active.
X-Factor players include Aaron Donald, Mike Evans, Justin Jefferson, Derrick Henry, Nick Bosa, Joe Burrow, Micah Parsons, Davante Adams, Lavonte David, Tom Brady, Tre’Davious White, and others.

The Superstars-X-Factors is a connection, though. If an LT, WR, TE, RB, RT, or any other position has an X-Factor, they also have at least one Superstar ability. Given that the X-Factor would indicate that they’re among the best in the NFL, they probably have a lot of Superstar abilities. These include abilities such as Red Zone Threat, Matador, Quick Draw, Runoff, Edge Threat Elite, Route Technician, El Toro, Sideline Deadeye, and so many more.

Players that have these include Russell Wilson, Darius Smith, Cameron Jordan, Jonathan Taylor, Patrick Surtain II, Marshon Lattimore, Ja’Marr Chase, and others.

Play with these talented players and get in the backfield, make interceptions with defensive backs, tackle with linebackers, throw with perfect accuracy, run like a freight train, and more now!
