Should you choose the Aceles or Microbe in Starfield? This question will pop up in your mind at the end of the Legacy Forged, which is the final mission of the United Colonies questline. You will be tasked to solve the Terrormorph problem by choosing any of the two options presented in front of you.

Now, it is important to remember that no matter what choice you make, it will only have a little impact on the rest of the story. The only thing you’ll notice is how your companions are going to react to your choice and a self-esteem buff or debuff if you have the Empath trait. Either way, there won’t be anything major.

Should I go with Aeles or Microbe in Starfied?

If you ask us, we think that choosing the Microbes in Starfield is the best solution. This is because it will help with eradicating the Terrormorphs much more quickly. Furthermore, another reason why you should go with this option is because your companions will also prefer it. Therefore, you’ll gain affinity with them.

Now that we have discussed what you should do at the end of the UC Vanguard questline, let’s discuss the outcome of both options.

What happens if you choose Microbe?

Microbes can be engineered quickly, and they will start eliminating the Terrormorphs instantly. They will act faster than Aceles, and the Terrormorphs will be gone before you know it. However, there will be risks involved, and the members of the UC council will be concerned with how they may affect human life. However, your companions will prefer this option.

What happens if you choose Aceles?

As producing Aceles creatures is something that has worked in the past, this will seem like the safer option. However, the entire process will be slow, and Aceles can also become hostile if provoked. This makes them something not ideal for areas that are more populated. Furthermore, while they will be able to deal with Terrormorphs, they can not be trusted against Heatleeches.

Whether you select the Aceles option or decide to opt for the Microbe option, you will still get the Class One Citizenship, 15,600 Credits, missions assignments, and a brand new Penthouse at the end of the UC Vanguard faction quest.
