Should you kill Marco Graziani in the On the Run quest in Starfield? You are given two choices during this time; either kill him or take his bribe. The question comes down to whether or not you are okay with Marco running a smuggling cartel in Freestar Collective space.
The choice comes late in the mission after you go to Codos and enter Marco’s ship called Fortuna. Be sure to deactivate the turrets in the process and defeat the guards. During this quest, you will also need to go to the Red Mile in the Porrima System and complete the Red Mile challenge.
Before taking on this mission, make sure you have a good spacesuit and helmet and some powerful weapons. You will need them if things go south and you end up in a fight. When it comes to Marco Graziani, should you kill him or take his bribe in Starfield?
Starfield – On the Run quest steps
There are multiple steps that lead up to the choice with Marco. These are the objectives that you must complete leading up to the choice:
- Go to the Red Mile
- Talk to Freestar Ranger Autumn Macmillan
- Meet with Autumn’s Contact
- Talk to Mei Devine – owner of the Red Mile
- Run the Red Mile
- Head to Codos
- Confront Marco Graziani
- Show Marco your badge
- Kill Marco or let him go (choice)
Starfield – Kill Marco Graziani or take his bribe?
Killing Marco or taking his bribe has no real impact on the story. We think the best course is to kill him. Ultimately, the choice is yours and you will get different rewards depending on what you choose.
What happens if you kill Marco Graziani in Starfield?
If you choose to kill Marco, all four of the main companions will agree. You will have to fight Marco and his bodyguards. Afterward, you can loot Marco’s Office and Marco’s Spaceship for items and resources.
This action will get you more of a reward than accepting his bribe because the items on his person and in his ship are worth more than the bribe. You will also be able to loot the Encrypted Slate and Marco’s Keycard with this choice.
The loot consists of weapons, ammo, copper, sealant, and more.
What happens if you take Marco’s bribe in Starfield?
Marco will offer you 2,500 credits and the Encrypted Slate. This is in exchange for letting him continue with his operation. All four of the main companions will dislike this choice.
Choosing this option will also lead to Marshal Daniel Blade and Emma Wilcox recalling it during the First to Fight, First to Die mission. Thankfully, the quest will remain the same except for some dialogue.
