What is the max level in Starfield? Bethesda games typically have a pretty high max level cap or give you the ability to level many skills so that you have a lot of freedom in the game you are playing. RPGs in general typically have higher level caps than most games.
In previous Bethesda games, players would either level up to collect skills or enhance their abilities by using the skills in-game during combat or exploration. For instance, in Skyrim, you enhance your combat skills by fighting with specific weapons.

There is no level cap in Starfield thanks to its infinite leveling system. As you progress through the game, you will collect skill points each time you gain a level. Through this system, you can unlock every skill in Starpoint. Your only limit is that there are four ranks in each skill.
Throughout your journey, you will visit many planets and level up fairly fast. You can even take all the skills and levels you earned during your playthrough and bring them into new game plus. With learning all the skills, you will be a master of building outposts, and will able to persuade anyone.
This follows the trend that previous Bethesda titles like Fallout 76 and Fallout 4 have set. In both of those games, there is technically a maximum level cap but it is so high that it is almost impossible to reach. The same could possibly be said about the Starfield max level cap. There are a lot of levels you can go up, so if you use any exploits, the best thing to do is turn some music on in your headphones and get to it.
Pete Hines even confirmed the lack of a level cap before the release of the game at the start of September. No matter how much you play the main storyline, you most likely won’t ever see your level stop growing in Starfield.
