How to get your belongings back in Baldur’s Gate 3 from Mol in the Tiefling Hideout

Here’s how to get your belongings back in Baldur’s Gate 3. After interacting with a young Tiefling child, you’ll soon notice a few of your items have gone missing. If it wasn’t enough to be infected by a Mind Flayer, you now have to deal with being scammed by a child!

If you’ve chosen a spellcaster class, such as a wizard or a sorcerer, knowing which spells are necessary to prepare for battle is essential. But first, follow this complete guide to learn how to get your belongings back in Baldur’s Gate 3. 

Baldur’s Gate 3 – How to complete the Find Your Belongings quest

Once you reach Druids Grove, you will meet a young Tiefling child named Mattis at the entrance of the grove in The Hollow. Mattis will want to show you a Ring and various items he has collected. However, you will soon notice that Tiefling has pick-pocketed your things and run away to the Tiefling Hideout. You can get your belongings back from Mol in the Teifling Hideout.

You’ll first need to descend the nearby ladder, where you’ll find a crawlspace. You can fit inside without much issue if you have a Gnome character. However, if you have a tall race character, go up the ladder and interact with Doni.

However, before interacting with Doni, ensure you have a character with a high Perception Check, such as Astarion. Doni will then flee after some intimidation into the thief’s Hideout. Here, you will find a concealed hatch you won’t be able to lockpick. 

How to finish Find Your Belongings quest to get belongings back

There are two ways to open it; first, you can take a Long Rest, and Doni will reappear. You can also go to the Secluded Cove east of Druid Grove and encounter the Entranced Child, Mirkon. Once you complete the Investigate the Beach side quest, and defeat the group of Harpies, he will tell you the Hideout password. You could also do a Widsom Check which will bring up a Persuasion dialogue option to get the password right away.

Once Doni lets you inside the main chamber of the Hideout, find and question Mol in the center of the Hideout. However, you’ll then be asked to pay a fee of 40 Gold coins. Of course, you can use a final charisma check to return your stolen items without much hassle. After this, Mol will give you the items that can be found in your inventory, and you will complete the Find Your Belongings side quest, and you successfully have your belongings back.

However, you will have a couple of dialogue choices in which you can partake in another quest to Steal the Sacred Idol side quest if you help out the Tiefling boy and stay on good terms.
