Are you having trouble locating Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3? Halsin is the first druid of Emerald Grove and is an important figure in the game. Thanks to the parasite in your head, you need to locate Halsin so he can help cleanse your body and keep you alive.

You will make plenty of choices throughout Baldur’s Gate such as whether or not to destroy a brain. You will also need to track down many characters like Wyll and Karlach. Each quest and encounter will lead you to removing the tadpole in your head.

Getting to where Halsin is in Baldur’s Gate 3 will take some time. You will want to make sure to level up and get the best build you can for the class you chose. This guide will show you how to find Halsin the Druid in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Where is Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3?

To find Halsin, make your way to the Goblin Camp that is to the west of the Blighted Town. After that, enter the Shattered Sanctum. Head to the west and go to the Worg Pens. Here, you can either fight the Goblin or sneak passed them to reach the pits. Once you reach the pits, rescue the caged bear. This caged bear will then transform into Halsin.

Once more, we recommend having a charismatic character to help avoid the constant battles unless you want to gather a ton of experience. Keep in mind, the battles can get overwhelming if you aren’t prepared for them. Halsin is just one of many companions in the game with others being Shadowheart, Astarion, Karlach, and Minthara.

Later on, you can return to the Goblin Camp to defeat the Goblins. There will be a lot of sleeping goblins later on, making the fight easier. Once Halsin joins your party, as you make your way out of the Goblin Camp, do note that every NPC you will meet will become hostile.

Halsin the Druid location in Baldur’s Gate 3

Halsin, the leader of the Druid’s Grove, can be found in the Shattered Sanctum. To reach here, make your way west to find a village full of Goblins marked by red roofs on the map. This is the Blighted Village. From there, head to the west and then go north to find the Goblin Camp.

The route to the Goblin Camp is treacherous. We recommend bringing a very charismatic character with you who is proficient with persuasion, as you can talk your way out of most of the fights along the way with dialogue checks, making things much easier. Luckily, the creatures are only goblins, so they aren’t too difficult to deal with either way.

Once you reach the Goblin Camp waypoint, head north until you find Volo the Bard. Continue past Volo to find a giant ogre standing next to a set of large doors on the other side of the courtyard. Go through these doors to access the Shattered Sanctum.

Once inside the Sanctum, you will get questioned by Warrior Trinzas. You can easily talk your way out of this by telling her you are here to see someone. You will then get the options of Dror Ragzlin the Goblin King, Priestess Gut, or the Drow leader. No matter what choice you make, you will be allowed in.

While you can explore the Shattered Sanctum and kill the three enemy leaders such as Minthara and Dror Gagzlin, it is best to ignore this and head to the eastern side of the Sanctum to the right of the large throne. Here, you will find a door that leads to the Worg Pens.

In the Worg Pens, you’ll find Halsin in bear form at the bottom of some stairs. He will be in a cage being harassed by Goblin children. From here, you can pass various dialogue and ability checks to free him or you can battle your way through it.
