There are a lot of ways to play Madden 24. From franchise mode to Superstar, the gameplay can be pretty diverse. One of the most popular and reliable game modes in any Madden game, however, is head-to-head. Playing as your favorite team against a CPU, online player or friend can be a lot of fun.

However, if you want to win (or if you want to choose a good team to start franchise mode with), it’s good to know how good each team is. Some teams like the Carolina Panthers are just not as good as other teams like the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s every team’s overall rating in the upcoming title.

What are the Madden NFL 24 team ratings?

Please note that ratings can change. As player ratings change, so will team ratings. If a team catches fire, its rating will more than likely go up. If they go through a cold streak, they will go down. This is the preliminary rating before any of these teams play a regular season game, so they can change at any point.

Nevertheless, this is what the current Madden NFL 24 team ratings will be:

Led by the reigning MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs are among the best team in the game with a 92 overall rating. They have two 99 overall player ratings (Mahomes and Travis Kelce), so this makes sense. Just ahead of them are the Super Bowl runner-up Philadelphia Eagles at 94 overall, thanks to top players Jalen Hurts, Lane Johnson, Haason Reddick, and Jason Kelce.

Led by Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, Christian McCaffrey, Dre Greenlaw, and others, the San Francisco 49ers come in with a solid 86 overall. They have one of the best running backs in the game and a couple of the best linebackers. The Ravens are great because of Lamar Jackson, Marlon Humphrey (currently injured), and others.

Tyreek Hill is boosting the Miami Dolphins to an 86 as well. WR Justin Jefferson and QB Kirk Cousins lead the Vikings to an 85 overall rating. Cover athlete Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills come in at 90 overall thanks to Stefon Diggs, Von Miller, Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, Tre’Davious White, and others. The Cincinnati Bengals are a great team thanks to Ja’Marr Chase, Joe Burrow, Trey Hendrickson, Joe Mixon, and others.

The Cleveland Browns, led by Nick Chubb, Myles Garrett, Joel Bitonio and Amari Cooper, boast a pretty solid 87 overall. Despite a poor record last year, they’re a talented team in Madden 24. The Dallas Cowboys have the same overall, thanks to Stephon Gilmore, Micah Parsons, Tony Pollard, Dak Prescott, Zack Martin, Trevon Diggs (who won’t be on the roster anymore after an injury) and a stout defense.

Sauce Gardner and the New York Jets, partly thanks to QB Aaron Rodgers’ arrival, have been boosted up to an 84 overall this year. Their offense, with Garrett Wilson and company, will be strong. The Arizona Cardinals come in dead last, partly due to not having quarterback Kyler Murray and with tight end Zach Ertz returning from injury.

Just ahead of their 72 rating is the Los Angeles Rams at 73. Each team does have good players, like the Rams having Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, and Aaron Donald and the Cardinals having Budda Baker, Rondale Moore and Marquise Brown. The Indianapolis Colts don’t have Jonathan Taylor presently, so their rating is lower.

Naturally, some of these teams have legitimate Super Bowl chances. Others do not.
