Elden Ring Prisoner class – items, weapons & everything you need to know
An in-depth look at Elden Ring's Prisoner class, pros, and cons, starting items and everything you might need to know.

The Prisoner is both highly dextrous and intelligent to begin with meaning the opportunities to build out a great rounded character are there right from the start. Again defensive stats are a bit lacking, but we can’t have everything, so this is definitely a class you will initially want to keep your distance with.
In terms of character design, the Prisoner is definitely the creepiest of all of Elden Ring’s classes, with the face masked off by the slightly bizarre diving helmet thing. It isn’t necessarily a character you want to build out minutes before you drift off to sleep.
The options are there tho to build some good sorcery stats with the Prisoner in Elden Ring, so if you are looking for a class to build that is a little more away from the median standard Warriors/Hero/Samurai, then you might well find yourself gravitating towards the Prisoner.
Let’s now take a closer look at all the Prisoner’s baseline stats and starting equipment to arm you with as much knowledge as possible for the journey ahead.

Elden Ring Prisoner Info
- The class design is easily the most unusual in the game. While you could point a generic finger at classes such as the Warrior, you certainly can;t do that here
- High Dexterity and Intelligence line up alongside middling physical stats meaning the Prisoner is an interesting option to build a character with.
- Starts at Level 9 and with some sorcery skills, you might be as intrigued by the Prisoner as we are as a play option.
