Atelier Sophie 2 Release Date, Trailer

While the name might be a bit awkward to pronounce, Atelier Sophie 2 is still a hotly anticipated sequel to a JRPG that helped to popularize a Japanese series in the west.

The question on many fans’ minds is when the game is actually coming out. We have the answers that you seek. The official release date can be found below along with some other important info on the game and even its trailer.

Atelier Sophie 2 Release Date

The game was announced shockingly recently for a major video game release. Publisher Koei Tecmo announced that the game would be coming to Switch, PC, and PS4 in Feb 2022 on their official Twitter page.

The official release date is February 25th, and that appears to be for all 3 platforms that the game is releasing on. Plenty of the previous games in the series have made their way onto the Nintendo Switch, but the first Atelier Sophie game was released all the way back in 2015 before the Switch was even on the market.

Perhaps with enough fan interest, Koei Tecmo might consider porting the first game to the platform in the near future.

Atelier Sophie 2 Trailer

The gameplay in the Atelier series sees you mixing between classic JRPG battling and exploring, and mixing together ingredients to perform alchemy for items and weapons. Atelier Sophie 2 looks to be much the same as the original, albeit with a fair few enhancements over the first game.

If you’re interested in checking out the game then you can take a look at the trailer that Koei Tecmo posted below. WHile things are certainly pretty similar to the first game, it looks like alchemy and the overworld have both been given a huge overhaul.
