Hogwarts Legacy Early Access release time & how to play
The 72 hour early access for Hogwarts starts soon but who can play?
Lots of exciting Hogwarts Legacy news over the last week or so, starting with the Hogwarts Legacy House Cup and now early access release times being announced!
The new potter-verse game is set to release on the 10th of February but as many were aware, we are getting Early Access from Tuesday the 7th of February (midnight Feb 6th).

Hogwarts Legacy Early Access start time
The Hogwarts Legacy’s early access period is a 72-hour slot. Starting from Midnight on February 6th, until the game launches.
Hogwarts Legacy early access is available to those on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 from the date and time above, however, those on the PC platform will have to wait until February 7th at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.
Hogwarts Legacy Early Access start time US:
- Los Angeles, CA: Monday, 6 February, 9 PM (PT)
- Houston, TX: Monday, 6 February, 11 PM (CT)
- New York, NY: Tuesday, 7 February, 12 AM (ET)
Hogwarts Legacy Early Access start time UK & Europe:
- London, UK: Tuesday, 7 February, 5 AM (GMT)
- Paris, France: Tuesday, 7 February, 6 AM (CET)
- Berlin, Germany: Tuesday, 7 February, 6 AM (CET)
- Rome, Italy: Tuesday, 7 February, 6 AM (CET)
How to play Hogwarts Legacy Early Access
To play you need to pre order the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe or Collectors edition of the game on Xbox Series X/S or PS5. Everyone who has done the above will get access, however, those on PC will have to wait a little longer.
Anyone who has pre-ordered the Nintendo Switch version, it is an even bigger wait for you (July 2023). Hogwarts Legacy will also be released for the PS4 and Xbox One platforms in April.
Early Access On Steam And The Epic Game Store
PC players will be able to hurl themselves into the wizarding world in no time at all. Early access for Steam starts at 10 am PST / 1pm EST on Tuesday, February 7th.
This is for players globally, so you’ll want to double check what time-zone that is based on your region. This translates to 6pm UTC.
